Its been about 6 weeks since I moved from the US to Kosovo. It's hard to imagine I've already been here that long but some moments, it feels longer than 6 weeks! All in all though, so far, so good!

Most of the population here speaks Albanian, which I am yet to learn, so its been almost comical trying to ask for things in the store. Alot of pointing and gesturing... :-) I really need to start learning! One kinda strange thing is that the milk here does not need to be refrigerated. It comes in cartons. After snapping a couple of pictures, I was told to cease and desist...
The weather here is much like the humid continental climate of upstate NY and some of the other places I've lived before. Its snowed a few times but nothing significant. Getting cold though! I suppose that is allowed since it is December after all...
Here are a few pictures of my neighborhood. The area is called Dragodan (Serbian name)/Arberia (Albanian name).
Here's a link to some more pictures of Pristina (the capital) and a couple of other towns/villages I've visited...enjoy and Merry Christmas!!!
Hi Sade! Wonderful to hear from you and to see some photos about your new surroundings. Blessings from all of us in the New Year! John-Mark & Nancy
